There are many reasons why startups die every single day all across the world. One of the main reasons is timing.
Even large startups with early traction have passed on because they failed to get the timing right. Often, being too early or too late to the party is what makes or breaks a startup.
In a TED talk, Idealab founder Bill Gross explained that he studied 200 companies. Some had tremendous success, and some failed, despite having the right team, a vision and a strong business model. In 42% of cases, timing proved to be what determined the companies’ failure or success.
